Free Motion Quilting-Level 2 (FMQ2)-January

| Skill Details: | This class is a follow up to FMQ1. You should have taken level 1 or or the equivalent. |
| Materials Included: | A supply list will be sent after registration is received. |
| Requirements: | Participants must have a machine in good working order that has a free motion foot. You will need to know how to set your machine up for free motion quilting. Brands/models of machiunes can be very different. Your manual, dealer, maintenance technician or even YouTube are all good sources for help if you need. It is usually a very simple setting, but essential. Practice attaching your free motion foot and make sure the needle lowers through the foot and that when the presser foot is down, the quilt sandwich will move freely. Also, know how to adjust your presser foot pressure. |

| Instructor Bio: | Loretta is a career public school teacher who has enjoyed sewing as a hobby from a young age. In 2015, Loretta discovered and fell in love with free motion quilting on her domestic Janome sewing machine. After taking classes from FMQ Mentors, Jenny Lyon and Bethanne Nemesh, Loretta has gone on to win numerous local awards at the Pioneer Quilt Guild Shows, as well as a 1st place at the 2024 New Quilts of Northern California for Visual Impact and the Pacific International Quilt Festival. |
